Far too many job seekers do not see the value or the importance of
setting themselves apart from their competition on their resumes. They
get stuck thinking they’re supposed to blend in or look like other
ideally qualified candidates. What they miss is the importance of being
who they are and showing the employer the unique value they offer that
other similarly qualified applicants can’t bring to the table.<br />
You want to strike the perfect balance between showing you meet the
requirements but also pointing out the benefits they’ll reap from
choosing you over the competition.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
For example, let’s say you are a sales expert in a specific
industry—you eat, sleep, and breathe to help clients who need help in
this particular industry. You know the industry inside and out,
understand the unique needs of the clients in the industry, are able to
uncover and speak to the pain of those clients and close sales in one
call nine out of 10 times.<br />
I’d say that makes you a great sales candidate with a competitive
advantage over someone else with no industry experience, no ability to
discover a client’s pain point, or a candidate without the skills to
close in one call.<br />
<br />
These three key differentiators set you above and beyond your
competition—and they’re important ways to distinguish yourself from
others. Starting to see the significance here?<br />
<br />
<strong>How to Make the Distinction Between Yourself and Other Applicants</strong><br />
In the example I used above the salesperson could highlight their:<br />
<br />
<strong>Specific industry expertise</strong><br />
Note the particular industry you know the best, and how and why you
understand the industry so well. Knowing a specific field, and having
experience in the field, is one way to set yourself apart from others
who do not possess this key knowledge.<br />
<br />
<strong>Passion for the industry </strong><br />
It’s also important to share your passion for the field or position.
Notice in the example above how the person eats, sleeps, and breathes to
help clients in that industry?<br />
<br />
<strong>Understanding of the unique needs and pain points of the clients</strong><br />
How you know, use, address, and meet the unique needs and pain points
of the clients that your target employer serves is also another way
that you could distinguish yourself from other candidates. Even if your
position isn’t client-facing, think about the unique needs and pain
points of the employer in relation to the position you are pursuing—and
make sure that your resume addresses those.<br />
<br />
<strong>Closing in one call </strong><br />
While in the example I used the one-call close to show how the
salesperson had a distinct advantage over competitors, it’s important
that you state what <em>you</em> do well, that others <em>do not</em>.
This unique promise of value becomes a vital part of separating yourself
from other applicants and can be a key personal branding
differentiator.<br />
<br />
<strong>Using metrics</strong><br />
The great part about metrics is they’re unique to you. There’s not
going to be someone else with the exact same closing rate, sales goals,
revenue generation, or any other combination of things that can be
quantified. Use numbers to distinguish your value, substantiate your
personal brand, and set yourself apart from other applicants.<br />
Plenty of different ways and opportunities exist to differentiate
yourself from other similarly qualified candidates; the ideas above are
merely a starting point for brainstorming other ways that you can use on
your resume to create a distinction between yourself and your
competition. The key is to not blend in but rather, discuss those things
that make you the best fit.<br />

THEN, FOLLOW THESE STEPS<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<h2 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-size: 26px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;">Here’s what YEC community members had to say about building out a sales team:</span></h2>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
1. Set Up a Solid Incentives Structure</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“Don’t start building your sales team until you know exactly what you want them to accomplish. Do they need to deliver a certain amount of revenue? Build your presence in a specific market sector? Figure this out and set up your incentive structure (i.e. compensation) to reflect that.</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
2. Measure Leading Indicators</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“Make sure you work with your sales team to set goals at <span class="il" style="border: 0px none; list-style: none; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">every</span> stage of the funnel. </div>
<a name='more'></a>With a new team, you want to make sure you are looking at leading indicators and not just revenue. That way, when problems or underperformance occurs, you’ll be able to better diagnose where the problem lies.”<br />
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
3. Expect Trial and Error</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“We built out our sales team in the last year and a half, and it took a lot of trial, error and turnover. When you’re selling a new product, it takes a while to find the best practices and what will work for your target audience. It can also take a while to build a team that excels at these practices and can connect with your customers. Be flexible in your approach and willing to change it up.”</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
4. Define Success for Each Salesperson</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“Salespeople are results-oriented people. I’ve found salespeople to be competitive and motivated by the opportunity to not only reach, but crush sales targets. If you set the objective, for instance, $10,000 in sales per month, they will be tremendously creative in how they get there. Equip your team with the right tools and technology to reach out to prospects and then let them close deals.”</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
5. Understand the Tools Available</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“There are so many sales tools out there to support sales, ranging from CRM and marketing automation to sales enablement and social selling software. It’s critical to understand which tools will be a good fit for your team and test process integration between them before you make your first hire.</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
6. Find People You Trust</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“For better or worse, the sales team is customer-facing, which means they might have more interactions with your customer than you <span class="il" style="border: 0px none; list-style: none; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">ever</span> will. Your sales team will require time to create their scripts and find their flow. You need to be able to instill your company values into them, but also give room for failure. It’s a delicate balance of providing them with systems and allowing for error.”</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
7. Focus on Employee Retention</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“Hiring is easy. If you dangle enough carrots you can attract almost anyone. Keeping them is the hard part. Put them in a position to succeed with good sales infrastructure, accountability tracking tools, sales scripts, lead generation pipelines, etc. Build a strong house before you put people to live in it.”</div>
<h3 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: robotoblack; font-size: 22px; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: 0.6px; line-height: 1.3; list-style: none; margin: 10px 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">
8. Don’t Always Hire the Rockstar</h3>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">
“Sales is a complex web of building trust through communicating value while constantly trying to close the deal. Rather than hiring an entire team of “rockstars,” understand that each consumer has different needs, and not all of them want to deal with your typical “closer” personality. Sometimes a light hand, and a soft voice can get the job done. Your consumers are diverse. Hire accordingly.”</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; list-style: none; outline: none; padding: 10px 0px;">

<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
From the ad, the job reads like a dream. It’s in your area of expertise (yay!), paying a salary slightly more than the current rate (yippee!) and you can work from home (woo hoo!) fulltime. But as you reread the job ad, something just doesn’t seem “right” to you. Maybe it’s the typos or the AOL business reply address. For every real job posted online, there are dozens that are fake, meant to entice you to hand over your hard-earned cash. Here’s how to read between the lines and discover if the job you’re about to apply for is real — or not.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>There’s no experience necessary</strong>. Even if you’re a fresh-faced college grad, you’re going to need some type of work experience (i.e. from previous jobs or even internships) in order to get hired. Be wary of ads that make it seem like anyone can do the job, because frankly, not everyone should be able to do any job.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>The salary is too high.</strong> You’ve been out of work for quite some time, so when you read the job ad (and its salary), all you can think is, “Cha-ching!” But before you start dreaming of all that you’ll do with the money, do a little digging to see what the position you’re looking to apply for generally pays. Job scammers will post a much too high salary — sometimes thousands of dollars higher — to lure in desperate job seekers.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>You need to wire money</strong>. A company wants to offer you a position but they’ll need you to process transactions for them. It doesn’t make sense, though, since you’re looking to work as a botanist, not a banker. In order to score a job, there should be no reason for you to wire money, process payments or even transfer funds.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>You’re offered the job on the spot.</strong> You know that you’re a qualified candidate, but how does the hiring manager know? Hiring a candidate on the spot — and sight unseen — is a big sign that there isn’t a real job. Overzealous employers are generally a tip off that a job isn’t genuine. Actual employers take their time to research and get to know potential job candidates — going through many rounds of job interviews — before offering a position.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>You’re receiving email from a non-business address.</strong> Legit hiring managers will have their company’s name as the ending of their email address (think: name@mashable.com) When a potential boss reaches out with an AOL, Gmail, Hotmail or any other non-company email address, though, red flags should be waving madly at you. Hiring managers and recruiters will send their correspondence from their business email address, not their personal one.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>You’re asked to do an IM interview.</strong> Sure, we live in a tech-driven world, but today’s job interviews are still mainly conducted in person, via Skype (if the job is a telecommuting one) or via phone. When a recruiter contacts you and wants to do the interview via IM — or worse, via text — the job may prove to be a scam.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>You’re asked for personal info.</strong> You’ve finally been offered the job position, but are then asked to supply personal information about yourself — such as your bank account and routing number. While a boss may give you several bogus reasons why they “need” the info — to run a credit check, to deposit initial funds into your account — there is never a real reason for a potential employer to ask for personal financial info about you.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>The ad is written poorly.</strong> You noticed a couple of typos in the job ad. But then you also saw some mixed tenses and a description of the job that didn’t make a whole lot of sense. When an ad reads like it’s been translated, (or it’s unclear what the job actually entails) you can bet that it’s a job scam.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>They contact you at odd hours.</strong> The business world operates 24/7. But hiring managers don’t. So if you’re consistently getting emails at 2:00 a.m. from a potential boss, take heed. For the most part, work emails will be sent — and answered — during normal business hours.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
<strong>You have to pay for the job.</strong> Savvy job scammers are no longer demanding cash up front in order for a job seeker to get a job. They will ask for it in a seemingly innocuous way, such as asking potential employees to pay for their proprietary software or to pay monthly for insurance on a laptop they will loan you for work. You should never, ever have to shell out money in order to be hired to work.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">
When you’re job hunting, it can be easy to fall prey to a job scam. Stay one step ahead of the job scammers and you’ll find a legitimate job in no time.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #555555; font-family: 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 0.75em;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span lang="EN-GB" style="background: white; font-size: 12pt;">According to the free dictionary, Success is defined as "the achievement of something desired, planned or attempted. It is a feat that many would want to be identified with.</span><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Napoleon Hill wrote a famous book “Keys to Success”</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> reveals the 17 principles he found in the successful men he interviewed. Maybe these traits could help you too. When you look at the chapter headings you will see listed many of the requirements necessary to set up or improve a business successfully or in fact to live a successful life.<o:p></o:p></span><br />
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Develop Definiteness or Purpose</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 0.2in;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Basically to be successful in reaching your destination you need a “road map” or plan to show the direction you wish to go and where you want to arrive, whether it’s a journey to another town or a journey in life.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Establish a Mastermind Alliance</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 0.2in;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">In the book, his group is an imaginary group of famous successful men he admired. He visualizes them after studying their characters. He holds council with these men in his imagination. We may not choose to do that; we may consider how someone successful would tackle a problem however we all need the help of others to reach our true potential. We may get our help from studying books, the internet or meeting people.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ill mannered, bad tempered and irresponsible people that don’t consider others aren’t going to be very successful. Develop a pleasant demeanor; get along with people give that little bit extra in all you do.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Enforce Self-Discipline</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 0.2in;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Plan what you do and work your plan. If you plan to do something, do it, don’t procrastinate. Don’t let others down. Be reliable, on-time and enthusiastic.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Motivation has to do with reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way. Motivation is a necessary tool for actualizing our objectives in an efficient and effective manner.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
What are the steps one needs to take to be fully motivated and get desired results? Some of these are:</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Know your goals!</strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
To know your goal is to understand it, to love it and eventually live it. It is not good enough to merely set goals. The key (and here is the difficult bit) is to really understand your goal and to visualise it in all its glory. What does success look like? How will it make you feel when you achieve it?</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
One of the secrets of the ultra-successful, whether they are athletes or entrepreneurs is to visualise their success and the level of performance that it will take to get them there.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Work out who can help?</strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Every great individual stands on the shoulders of others and there is no reason why you should be any different. The people that surround us have a crucial part to play in keeping our spirits lifted. Knowing that you are not alone and that you have the support of others can be a vital step in remaining motivated.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Make a list of the people that can help you towards your goal.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Reward yourself along the way</strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
The road to success can be a long and arduous journey with many a set-back along the way. Without littering the road with the odd reward it can feel like thankless task and before long your motivation will be gone with the wind.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Break your goal down and set markers where you can reward yourself for the hard work that you have done. For example if your goal is to change career or get into a new job, you could reward yourself once you have completed a particular training course or applied for a certain number of jobs.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">

the recruitment process becomes necessary, if not vital.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 7.9pt;">

<span style="font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt;">Try to find out how employees will handle situations
by asking them very challenging questions, their response to the questions will
determine how capable they will be to handle any situation if the need for such arises.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 7.9pt;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt;">2. <b>Be consistent</b>. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 7.9pt;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt;">The tone of the interview, the intent of the questions, and
the information looking to be collected should be the same. It helps determine
both cultural fit and makes it easier to see which employees stand out most.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Your CV is the most important tool you have to sell yourself; so how can you make yours stand out?</div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'open sans', helveticaneue, 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Don’t sell yourself short</h3>

Many professionals think two pages is the maximum length for CVs – but it doesn’t have to be. </div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'open sans', helveticaneue, 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">

Keep your CV neat and well presented – use readable fonts and logical formatting. </div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'open sans', helveticaneue, 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Always proof read</h3>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: 'open sans', helveticaneue, 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Double check spelling, grammar and dates – <br />
<a name='more'></a>nothing will undermine you more than simple typos on an otherwise perfect CV. </div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'open sans', helveticaneue, 'helvetica neue', helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">

<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Statistics have shown that between 80 percent to 90 percent of start -ups fail. This means that about only two businesses out of ten will still be up and running some years from now. Since entrepreneurs are expected to be optimistic people, there are certain things they should focus to be successful. These are outlined below.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Setting the company vision, communicating it and holding the line</strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
An entrepreneur who wants to be successful must be able to create, define and maintain the vision of his firm. <br />
<a name='more'></a>A vision is the essence of what the company is about. You should ask yourself these questions, Why is this an important journey to undertake? Why should we attempt to undertake this? A vision must be well detailed so as to enable you describe your mission easily, know why you must undertake the journey and explain the reason why you must succeed.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Holding the Line</strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
As a growing entrepreneur who wants to succeed, you must hold the line & vision and must work hard to achieve victory. You should not be distracted in too many directions, ideas or problems. You must set the direction and once set, make sure to “Hold the Line” to victory, regardless of the casualties along the way.<br />
<strong style="border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Identifying, implementing and re-evaluating ‘The Most Important Thing’ (MIT)</strong><br />
<br />
One great challenge start up Entrepreneurs usually experience is to know what the Most Important Thing is. This is the number one mission: if we can only succeed on one thing, this is it. This is the organizing principle of the start-up,it could be its growth, Product market, or Fundraising. This is the hardest call to make for an entrepreneur and it must be clear, simple, singular and correct. As an entrepreneur, you must dedicate most of your time to succeeding on the MIT. Every time you speak to your team workers,try to always start with reciting the MIT of the moment.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Re-evaluating your MIT is critical and the entrepreneur must set the cadence of this evaluation. Clarity of MIT definition, communicating it, enforcing it through the organization and re-evaluating it is the essence of the entrepreneur's job and If s/he makes a fatal error, the company is probably lost. A popular reason start-ups fail is scaling too early. </div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: inherit; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Maintaining and accelerating velocity through rapid decision making</strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
An entrepreneur should be equipped with fast decision making. If you are wrong, you will discover it and still have time to make corrections. If you wait, you pay in speed, in morale and lose the time to save yourself.Try to ignore non-crucial decisions. If they are not MIT, they can either wait or be decided on by someone else. Making decisions fast and well takes a lot of effort, focus and energy - don’t waste it on unimportant things. You will be surprised how many things seem to work themselves out when you ignore them; if they come back to you again, they will have become more important, you will have had more time to collect more data and can make the correct decision at that time.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #4d4f51; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-stretch: inherit; line-height: 24px; margin-bottom: 30px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
There are many other things a successful entrepreneur needs to do in terms of leadership, hiring, sales, product, operations etc but establishing and driving toward the vision, nailing the MIT and maintaining velocity are at the most important. things entrepreneurs should focus on to be successful.<br />

<div style="background: white; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">When choosing your career, you must consider certain things; things like your hobbies, what subjects you liked
best, the economy of your country, and most of all, your parents’ decision. Your
findings on all these will determine what suits you best as a career choice. Although
some of them have little or more roles to play in your decision making process,
the one that has a really major role to play is that of your parents’ choice. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background: white; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">However, for a number of reasons, your parents may not want you to choose a particular career. This is because they
may not feel equipped to fully help or support you with those career decisions. This can
happen because they have your best interest at heart and would want something
that will yield good fruit for you in the future. They would want you to make your choices from careers in law or medicine, or even something more practical instead of your dream of
being a painter or an artist, etc. Well, below are the some of the reasons why your parents may not support
your choice of career. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<h4 style="background: white; margin-top: 0cm; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -0.75pt;"> </span></h4>
<div style="background: white; margin-top: 0cm; text-align: left; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -0.75pt;"><b>A TARNISH TO THEIR IMAGE</b></span><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -0.75pt;"> </span><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;">There is this belief that the career </span></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;">you choose
might stain the life which your parents lead. Because when we see someone else
doing something that we’re too scared or lazy to do, it’s easy to feel bad
about ourselves, and to resent that someone for “making” us feel that way.</span></span><br />
<div style="background: white; margin-top: 0cm; text-align: left; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;"><br /></span><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -0.75pt;"><b>THEY NEED YOU AROUND</b> </span><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;">This often happens with children who are either an only
child, only girl or only boy of their parents. Parents often find it difficult
to let their only children or their main life support leave them and go too far, I must say that giving up your own ambitions to care for
loved ones is nothing short of heroic.</span></span></div>
<div style="background: white; margin-top: 0cm; text-align: left; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">You need to be careful
here though, because sometimes parents use this as a convenient excuse to keep
them from taking a scary leap.</span> </span></div>
<div style="background: white; margin-top: 0cm; text-align: left; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<h4 style="background: white; margin-top: 0cm; vertical-align: baseline;">
<b><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; letter-spacing: -.75pt;">THE FEAR OF CHANGE </span></b><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: normal;">Parents often fear
that their children will deviate from the belief they were trained with, and
start living in a different and uncomfortable world where their rules are not
followed. Well, everything changes, nothing
stays the same.</span></h4>
<div style="background: white; margin-top: 0cm; text-align: left; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; letter-spacing: -0.75pt;"><b>THE NEED TO PROTECT YOU</b> </span><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;">The last thing parents would want for their
children is to see them fail, especially after they have trained them well and sent
you to good schools. They would want you to succeed and never fail, that is why
they might feel that the career you have chosen will not make you succeed.</span><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;">But that is not how things work, preventing a child
from harm is exposing him/her to more danger. I truly believe that going all
out to achieve your dream is reward enough in itself, even if you never quite
reach it. Just in that journey you’ll feel alive more than you ever have
before.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-size: x-small;">APART FROM THE ABOVE LISTED REASONS, ARE THERE OTHER REASONS WHY YOUR PARENTS WILL REFUSE YOU TO TAKE UP YOUR CAREER? IF THERE IS, YOU CAN COMMENT ON THEM...</span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: windowtext; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: normal;">PS: WHAT YOU SHOULD DO TO MAKE YOUR PARENTS SUPPORT YOUR CAREER WILL BE POSTED LATER...</span><br />

employers will want to give you questions that they feel you might not answer

them, but you can use those questions to talk about your </span><span style="font-size: 18.6667px; line-height: 22.4px;">strengths</span><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 16.8pt;"> and things

Cover letters are a great way to market your self to a prospective employer. This means that you must package your self in your Cover Letter and resume in such a manner that the employer will be willing to buy. Some job-seekers still ask if a cover letter is really important. The answer to that question is yes. This is because, the cover letter and resume are the document a prospective employer sees before meeting you in person. Your Cover letter should be customized and should be able to highlight how your skills will be relevant in the position you are applying for.<br />
<br />
For a Cover Letter to be effective, it needs to have the following 5 ingredients:<br />
<br />
1. It should be addressed properly. This means that you must find out the name of whom the letter needs to be addressed to. if it is to be addressed to say "Mr Chukwudi Ebube", address it that way and in so doing avoid using general salutations like "Dear Sir", or "To whom it may concern"etc.<br />
<br />
2. Highlight your strengths. Let your employer be convinced that you are the best fit for the job. You don't have to exaggerate but make sure your relevant skills are well highlighted.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
3. Show concern and motivation. You need to explain clearly why you want the job and why it will be a good idea for the firm to hire nobody but you.<br />
<br />
4. Avoid using standard formats like, :I hereby wish to apply........." instead, show creativity and professionalism like stating where you saw the vacancy etc.<br />
<br />
5. Close properly. You should politely ask for the next step in the application process. This will show confidence on your part.<br />
<br />
When next you are preparing a Cover letter, remember these 5 important ingredients and am sure you will come up with a great Cover Letter.<br />

<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
Just as in sports, the organizations that have sustained success in business aren't the ones with superstars all trying to further their individual legacies. Rather, they are the businesses with talented role players and managers who know how to get all of their personnel to work together. Here are five ways for startups to put together a winning team.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">1. Build your team before actually building your team</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
For starters, the principals of a startup will need to identify their own roles and how they plan to delineate responsibilities when it comes to decision making, hiring and external communications.<br />
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
There may be an impulse to hire smart people with great credentials and then sort out their responsibilities after. Don't do that. Identify very specific roles (and budget responsibilities and salaries for each of them) and seek out employees who are ideal for those tasks and have skills that can compliment each other.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">2. Make sure each person understands how the entire company works</span></div>
<div id="fsk_splitbox" style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; height: 0px; line-height: 30px; margin: 0px 0px 24px; padding: 0px;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" id="fsk_frame_splitbox_475" mozallowfullscreen="" name="fsk_frame_splitbox_475" src="http://sb.freeskreen.com/splitbox/client?pid=433&sid=&confId=475&a=0%7C3%7C0%7C3%7C0&trackerId=REdC2GZt8k3H7Qu2IGz7iV2390JEvw&uts=33c16b12-645b-4b6b-a0a8-1adfe2c8dc5a&flc=&slc=&maxWidth=598&pos=720%3B4633#fsk_splitbox" style="border-style: none; border-width: initial; box-sizing: border-box; height: 0px; margin: 0px; width: 598px;" webkitallowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
In a startup environment, which will likely have an initial staff of a dozen or fewer employees, it's important that each staffer understands how the entire business functions. Each person should have a specific job responsibility, but it will ultimately help a marketing person if he’s familiar with supply chain management and vice versa.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">3. Hire people who share your passion</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
Launching a startup is never going to be a 9-to-5, 40-hour per week job. That goes for both the founders and for any employees who join the initial launch team. Everyone involved has to be personally invested in the success of the company.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
For a social enterprise, it’s critical that each hire not only feels passionately about making an impact, but they must also have a firm understanding of the problem the business is addressing and the solution it is working toward. </div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">4. Get input from the rest of the group when it comes to adding staff</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
In a small team setting, one bad hire can completely disrupt the chemistry of the rest of the organization. While the founders have the ultimate say over who they add to help grow the business, the entire group will have to work with the new hire in some capacity.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: 700;">5. Don't stop after assembling them</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">
Bringing a group together is just one element of building a successful team. Even with success, building chemistry is an ongoing process. The best organizations keep engaging their employees and are frequently assessing what's working and how they can improve the way they work together.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: proxima-nova, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 19px; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 18px; padding: 0px;">

<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Motivation has to do with reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way. Motivation is a necessary tool for actualizing our objectives in an efficient and effective manner.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
What are the steps one needs to take to be fully motivated and get desired results? Some of these are:</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Know your goals!</strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
To know your goal is to understand it, to love it and eventually live it. It is not good enough to merely set goals. The key (and here is the difficult bit) is to really understand your goal and to visualise it in all its glory. What does success look like? How will it make you feel when you achieve it?</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
One of the secrets of the ultra-successful, whether they are athletes or entrepreneurs is to visualise their success and the level of performance that it will take to get them there.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Work out who can help?</strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Every great individual stands on the shoulders of others and there is no reason why you should be any different. The people that surround us have a crucial part to play in keeping our spirits lifted. Knowing that you are not alone and that you have the support of others can be a vital step in remaining motivated.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Make a list of the people that can help you towards your goal.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Reward yourself along the way</strong></div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
The road to success can be a long and arduous journey with many a set-back along the way. Without littering the road with the odd reward it can feel like thankless task and before long your motivation will be gone with the wind.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Break your goal down and set markers where you can reward yourself for the hard work that you have done. For example if your goal is to change career or get into a new job, you could reward yourself once you have completed a particular training course or applied for a certain number of jobs.</div>
<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 21.12px; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
One of the problems faced by job-seekers in our country today is unemployment or inability to land a good job. The search for good jobs for some has become a burden too hard to bear. This is because the available number of jobs is far fewer than the number of available job-seekers. Every year, over a million graduates are released into the job market with no corresponding job opportunities. As a result of this, one has to go the extra mile of acquiring certain skills to add to their education. Today, having a degree or a diploma is not a ticket to securing a job. One needs to have those skills that employers are really looking for in order to have an edge over other job-seekers.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">
So, what are these critical employability skills that employers demand of job-seekers?</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span lang="EN-GB" style="background: white; font-size: 12pt;">According to the free
dictionary, Success is defined as "the achievement of something desired,
planned or attempted. It is a feat that many would want to be identified with.</span><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Napoleon Hill wrote a famous book “Keys to Success”</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> reveals the 17 principles he
found in the successful men he interviewed. Maybe these traits could help you
too. When you look at the chapter headings you will see listed many of the
requirements necessary to set up or improve a business successfully or in fact
to live a successful life.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Develop Definiteness or Purpose</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .2in;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Basically to be
successful in reaching your destination you need a “road map” or plan to show
the direction you wish to go and where you want to arrive, whether it’s a
journey to another town or a journey in life.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Establish a Mastermind Alliance</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .2in;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">In the book his
group is an imaginary group of famous successful men he admired. He visualizes
them after studying their characters. He holds council with these men in his
imagination. We may not choose to do that; we may consider how someone
successful would tackle a problem however we all need the help of others to
reach our true potential. We may get our help from studying books, the internet
or meeting people.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assemble an Attractive Personality</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .2in;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ill mannered,
bad tempered and irresponsible people that don’t consider others aren’t going
to be very successful. Develop a pleasant demeanor; get along with people give
that little bit extra in all you do.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .2in;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Plan what you
do and work your plan. If you plan to do something, do it don’t procrastinate.
Don’t let others down. Be reliable, on-time and enthusiastic.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Learn from Adversity and Defeat</span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in;">
<b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> </span></b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">“Every cloud has a silver lining”, learn from your mistakes, turn
failure around stay positive and don’t give up.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
Before you go for any interview, you need to prepare yourself adequately. Research on the company and review the details of the position you applied for. Evaluate your expertise and strengths, and ways in which you can use your skill set to be an asset to the hiring organization. Anticipate how you will confidently answer questions asked.</div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br />First impressions are very important in the hiring process.</div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br />Here is how to answer two key interview questions:</div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">“Tell Us about Yourself”</span></div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
This is a common question. So, where do you even begin? Do you treat the question as if you are on a date and start talking about your interests, dislikes and whatnots? I will tell you this, the HR doesn’t want to know about where you grew up, or the kind of hardships you went through to get to the position you are in today.</div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /></div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
When asked this question, you have to first focus on your academic background and professional experience. Give a brief overview of the two. For example: </div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-style: italic; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">My name is Anastacia Kihoti, a communications graduate from Africa Nazarene University. I am currently a customer service manager with four years of experience working for SMEs and large organizations in the service industry in East Africa....</span></div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br />The next step is to talk about your career progression as well as what you have learnt or achieved through the years. Capture the HR’s attention by mentioning the accomplishments that you are most proud of. For example: </div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-style: italic; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">As the customer service manager, I managed a team of fifty customer service representatives in introducing call center systems by developing customer interaction and voice response systems, and executing user acceptance test plans...</span></div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br />Finally, you should give a summary of what you want your next career step to be. Make sure this logically ties in to the responsibilities of the position you are interviewing for. For example:</div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-style: italic; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">I am looking to move away from customer service to coaching and developing team leaders and agents, managing the daily running of a call center and driving performance of the team leaders to meet the business KPIs...</span></div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">What Are You Looking For in a New Position?</span></div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /></div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
Start by mentioning that you are looking for a job which has the potential for advancement. Talk about the desire to work in an environment where you will be challenged and in which you can grow your skills while being mentored. Highlight the experience you expect to get from the position.</div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">

If you strive to work in a place that you’re excited to go to every morning or where you’ll be mentally stimulated, be honest about it. Tell the recruiter that those are the crucial aspects you want in a new position.</div>
<div class="font_8" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border: 0px; font-family: 'open sans', sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-stretch: normal; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">

<div style="border: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Your CV is the most important tool you have to sell yourself; so how can you make yours stand out?</div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Don’t sell yourself short</h3>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Many professionals think two pages is the maximum length for CVs – but it doesn’t have to be. </div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Looks matter</h3>

Keep your CV neat and well presented – use readable fonts and logical formatting. </div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Always proof read</h3>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Double check spelling, grammar and dates – <br />
<a name='more'></a>nothing will undermine you more than simple typos on an otherwise perfect CV. </div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">

Open your CV with a profile that summaries your most relevant experience, qualifications and what role you are ideally looking for next.</div>
<h3 style="border: 0px; color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.2px; line-height: 34px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Employment and education</h3>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: 'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 21px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
List your previous employment history, with your most recent job first. State dates, your job title and the company you worked for. Provide an overview of your main responsibilities for each role</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 12pt 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 16.5pt;">Your personal details section is the first part of
your CV, and it has the </span><span style="line-height: 22px;">priority</span><span style="line-height: 16.5pt;"> over all other sections. It is located at the
top of the CV, and is the first thing your reader/ employer will see. You should
therefore keep it as best, truthful and detailed as it should be; it holds the
information that will be needed to contact you anytime. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 16.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">This information can be the header of your CV with your
name heading it. However, you should know that your header should be
written in the best way you like it: there is no such
thing as the perfect CV; it’s your personal sales brochure, so you decide
ultimately how you want to present yourself. But then, below are the things
that are essential to include in the personal details section of your CV</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">· <span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Name (in big, bold writing)</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Address</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Telephone number</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Email address</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
These ones below are things that are optional
to Include in the Personal Details section</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">· <span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Nationality</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Date<span style="color: blue;"> </span>of<span style="color: blue;"> </span>Birth</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Gender</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Marital<u><span style="color: blue;"> </span></u>Status</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Photograph</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Driving licence details</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">·<span style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Health status</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 16.5pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; margin-left: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 12.0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Since your CV can only be two pages long,
it will be a good idea if you keep this personal details section brief on your
CV. Make sure to <span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">keep your CV and personal details professional!</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 16.5pt;"><br /></span>
<span style="line-height: 16.5pt;">Also ensure that you use an appropriate
email address on your CV. It may not make your chances of getting an interview
but it sure can destroy your chances if you get it wrong.</span></span></div>

HERE'S HOW...<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7jOj__ExWbs/VeSIEEXZVYI/AAAAAAAABWQ/SJpGTg0qllY/s1600/RECRUITMENT%2BPROCESS.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7jOj__ExWbs/VeSIEEXZVYI/AAAAAAAABWQ/SJpGTg0qllY/s320/RECRUITMENT%2BPROCESS.jpg" width="246" /></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The new
form of staffing your company suggests that you make use of a recruitment committee to recruit and select staff. <span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">A recruitment
committee is a group of individuals formed for the purpose of
assisting the recruiter in recruiting and screening the application of a posted
vacancy. </span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">It also ensures that applicants
selected for the interview stage and final consideration are evaluated by more
than one individual to minimize discrimination due to bias. </span><b><o:p></o:p></b></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Recruitment
committee members should be selected
either from the unit or units most affected by the search, or selected from
diverse units within and sometimes outside the division. This choice should be
related to the level of the vacant position. As the level of responsibilities
of the vacant position increases, the search committee members should be more
widely representative of the entire campus and outside community; the main
thing is that they should have a thorough knowledge of what the job is all
about.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm; tab-stops: 111.0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 115%;"> <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 115%;">Sometimes,
the recruitment committees do not know what is expected of them, that is why it
is necessary for you to clearly state their roles and duties in writing. Also,
if they are selected from diverse units within and sometimes outside the
division, it is vital that they are well trained regarding the necessary
qualifications. <o:p></o:p></span><br />

<div align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When mapping out a business plan, there
are certain things you need to put into consideration because they will help
you to clear a wonderful plan to keep you at the top of your game. One of the
things you should consider creating is a competitive analysis. Competitive
analysis will help you to to keep a close eye on your
competition, and also to investigate and research them periodically to know who
they are and what they are offering. A competitor analysis is a great way to
obtain information about important competitors and use that information to
predict competitor behaviors whilst making better business decisions.
However, to write a good competitive
analysis, you must:<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<ul style="margin-top: 0cm;" type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Be objective.<o:p></o:p></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Conduct fearless and thorough research.<o:p></o:p></span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Write well.<o:p></o:p></span></li>
</ul>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Therefore, below are things you should take note of in order to make up a competitive analysis:<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>A COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF COMPETITORS</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You have to start with a list of
companies you feel that are a competition to you; that is, those companies that
offer the same product as yours. You should include companies that you consider
as the major competitors, as well as those indirectly compete with you. You will also want to include information on
companies that may be entering your market in the coming year. Once you have
compiled the list, you can highlight those companies that will be the greatest
challenge.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">PRODUCT SUMMARY OF COMPETITORS<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Analyze the products and services of
your competitors; find out how they arrange their programs, and how they market
them, and how students and parents see them. One easy way to find out how they
do the above listed things is by making use of the Customer satisfaction
surveys.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It's likewise important to include
information on how competitors distribute and advertise their products. You
will want to talk about product quality and, where possible, find out how they
are staffed.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>STRENGTHS</b></span></span><b><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> AND WEAKNESSES OF COMPETITORS<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Check out the strengths and weaknesses
of your competitor. Try to make their know what they do that makes their
products so great, and know what is behind their rapid growth. You can find
this information in a variety of ways; the competitor's Web site is always a good
start, make some phone calls, talk to the journalists and consultants who are
active in the industry. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">As you put together the list of
competitor strengths and weaknesses, be objective. You'll do your company no
good if you allow bias toward your own products and services to cloud your
judgment. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="color: #141414; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">Remember sometime <a href="http://careergong.blogspot.com/2015/08/why-do-new-businesses-fail.html" target="_blank">ago </a>when I gave you some of the reasons why most new
businesses fail in an article sometime ago? Well I bring you the complete edition of the article. Just as I said, it is always
very difficult to start and maintain a new business because you are not sure of
what you are going into thereby creating the least bit of security for yourself
and money. Here are some other reasons why your business fails; read and try to
avoid making such mistakes: <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="color: #141414; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>GOING OUT OF CASH</b></span><br />
<span style="color: #141414; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
Running out of cash is another thing that kills new businesses even before your break even or breakout. This often
happens when you fail to invest money on capital expenditures for your business.
By Capital Expenditures, I mean land/shop, equipment, raw materials, goods etc.
Be aware that these expenditures earlier mentioned are the most important
things you need to secure first for a lasting business. However, there'll be
some recurrent expenses (workers' salaries, power, & transport bills) that
you must cover aside from the capital expenditure which depends on the kind of
business you want to establish. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<span style="color: #141414;">
If you fail to provide for those capital expenditures before your business
breaks even, you are likely to start accumulating debts which will cause a
great run down of your business. Before you launch your business startup, after
doing all your capital expenditure, you should set aside enough money to cover
at least six months of recurrent expenditure.</span></span><br />
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
<!--[endif]--><span style="color: #141414;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<b><span style="color: #141414; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">FAILING TO GET THE RIGHT TEAM</span></b><br />
<span style="color: #141414; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
When you start a new business and fail to assemble the right team that will
help to make your business work, you are likely to have a failed business. At
one point of your business, you will need help in making decisions, but most
help is needed when the business is a large or medium scale businesses. This is
because you will need people to handle
the core areas of product development, marketing, and management. The business
is not likely to succeed if you don’t have experts handling any of the core
areas.</span><br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="color: #141414; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Problem is that people tend to hire family, friends, and relations
without checking to see if they will bring any tangible value to the table. The
business is also likely to suffer if there is interpersonal conflict between
the team members. Hence, it is important to hire people with the right skill set and to make sure that they don’t have differences that could lead to acrimony.</span><br />

<span style="color: #141414; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">
You should know that your business is your bond and that whatever you give to
people is what they will know you for. That is why it is always advisable to
give your customers good products that they will appreciate and come for more
after their first experience with it. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

and if your business has a competitor who has superior products, your business
may be in danger. <b><br />

like I would always say is the best way to be in the sure path to your career
success. It</span><span style="background: white;"> is the process of offering advice to students/individuals
about their study method and how to discover their career.</span><span style="color: #030a13; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;"> </span><span style="color: #030a13; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: IG-NG;">A career guidance and counseling program develops an individual's
competencies in self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">If you really want people to not just know about your academic
institution but would also love to be a part of the academic program, you
should be able to carefully outline your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) which would
is to make your institution stand out as the best among other institutions. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Whatever business plan you are drafting out for your institution must
contain a USP, this is because a USP can
give a great deal of clarity to your business model, what your company does and
why you do it. It can define your business and most important business goals in
just a sentence.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A USP is one of the fundamental pieces of any solid marketing that makes
your business unique and valuable to your target market and thus will help you
to get the desired attention that you wish for. A successful USP can be used as
your institution’s slogan. I am going to provide a step-by-step process you can
use in creating a USP that will help you make the most of your marketing and
business planning activities.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;">KNOW AND DEFINE
YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE.</span><span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 25.5pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This should be the first thing you should do even when drafting out a
marketing plan, because you cannot know what exactly you want to do </span>without<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> knowing your audience. Therefore when trying to define your target audience,
you should be a specific as possible. Try to know what they like, how they like
it and when they want it. You should also know what your competition is
offering them and why they go to them. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;">STATE THE PROBLEMS YOU WANT TO SOLVE</span><span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">From the knowledge of what your competition offers your target audience
you </span>should<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> be able to state what problem you want to be able to solve for your
audience. You should ask yourself this question,‘what is the individual need or
challenge they face that your business can solve for them?’<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;">LIST YOUR
BIGGEST BENEFITS </span><span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 25.5pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">List the important benefits that a client has </span>benefited<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> from you which
they could not get from someone else. These benefits should explain why your
services are important to them and why they would choose you over another
provider.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;">MAKE YOUR
PROMISE</span><span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 25.5pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A big part of a successful USP is making a pledge to your clients. While
this can be implied instead of spelled out in your USP, write down this promise
you make to your clients in this step.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; letter-spacing: -0.25pt;">COMBINE AND
CONCLUDE<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Once you are through with the steps above, you should gather the information
you got from them and combine it. While doing that, you would notice that there
is a recurring idea that comes to mind: try to make a sentence out of that
idea, and you have your USP simply stated and ready to be used. </span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><span style="color: red; font-size: large;">SEE WHY</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Many employers these days look more on the side of online services for
advertising job vacancies; that is good I must say, but do not forget that fact
that while advertising your vacancies, you are looking for the best of them
all, and you therefore need to be diverse in your search. That is why you need
to also make use if the print form of advertising. The following reasons
include:<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Printed works are always plainly and elaborately stated, meaning that there
is enough space to advertise your job vacancy and also to give detailed
information about the job description and what it entails. A research showed
that job seekers actually prefer it when the employer gives them a full reality
of what the job is like and not sugar-coating it, in order to know what they are
going in for. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The print advert also has an advantage of reaching out to candidates and other people who might
influence </span>job seekers<span style="font-size: 12pt;">; that is, to catch those people we might not usually catch
through job boards or social media. The emotive nature of the advert can also
attracted a number of editorial articles, boosting it’s impact and reach.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">People tend to look at the print media form of advert as an outdated
form of advertising, but you are forgetting that everyday old things are being
recycled to be even better. The printed adverts tend to be most effective in
sectors where there are larger volumes of candidates who have been slow
adopters of IT, and who would rather apply for roles by phone or post. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">There are a number of new technologies that can be used, but most print
adverts will direct people to a website to apply for a role.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Some candidates like to double read. So they’ll see quick job updates
online and then flick through a newspaper during their leisure time, in order
for them to have an absolute knowledge of what the job is about. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Print has this permanence that makes the </span>job seekers<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> always look up to them whenever they are confused about the job, and also help them to think longer
about its content and whether they will want to go for the job or not, unlike the
online adverts where people tend to scroll past online ads or transfer their
interest quickly elsewhere. A creative print advert also helps to create a
hugely positive impact on tarnished reputations. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Finally, diversity is key, and recruiting across a range of media
ensures that a campaign is reaching both passive and active candidates, as well
as (often older) audiences that spend less time online.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
