REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT STOP JOB HUNTING EVEN IN THIS FESTIVE PERIOD

During the holiday seasons, some job seekers may decide to wait until the resumption periods to continue with their job search. This means that it is advicable to keep your CV ready. Many businesses take little time off and continue working as normal which means they’re still in the hiring process and looking for qualified applicants. Here are a few reasons to consider putting more efforts on the job search during the holiday period.

EMPLOYERS WILL WANT TO FILL CERTAIN POSITIONS: Once it is resumption time, some companies will want to start up in a very good way, and this might include getting to fill up positions that can help the company to grow. Businesses many realize they have money left in their budget for a new position and want to fill it before their funds get cut or reallocated since they were not used. This can be a good time for job seekers to keep an eye on such things. Keep checking back with companies you have your eye on as well as job boards for newly posted positions.

OTHER JOB SEEKERS WILL FEEL RELUCTANT FOR A WHILE:

There can also be less job seeking stress because some job seekers will be feeling relaxed to start looking for jobs by that time of the year. They may not check for openings as frequently or respond to inquiries from employers. Make sure that you are available and are checking your phone and email for messages.

YOU MIGHT FIND A HELPFUL PERSON AT A PARTY YOU WILL ATTEND:

You can  try to attend parties, get to meet and know people and bring up your job search or inquire if they know of any openings when you go for social occasions. This would let people know what you want to do and can be a trigger for them when they happen to hear of a position. Work on building relationships and letting yourself be known. If you have established a positive rapport with others, it can support your chances of being referred for a job.

YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA MAY BE THE LINK:

Keep your resume up-to-date and ready to go. The same goes for your LinkedIn profile, personal website, or other platforms. You never know when a job opportunity may arise. This would help yo make your work easier and faster.also try to have an application letters ready.

Use the holidays as motivation to keep pushing ahead with your job search. While others may be slacking off, stay alert and continue to apply for positions and refine your CV.

Do this while having a happy holiday.
